Membership and Training with Circle of the Moon
Membership to the coven is by invitation only. Prospective coven members must have completed our "Discovering Witchcraft" course and will then be considered for membership. Please note that if you are under the age of 18, we cannot offer you membership or training.
All students study the first year of our specially-devised training course, the completion of which is mandatory in order to receive an offer of initiation into (and membership in) the coven. Places within the coven are offered at the discretion of the existing coven members. Only once you are initiated are you considered a member of Circle of the Moon.
Once initiated, personal progression along the rest of the course is open to discussion between individual coven members and the High Priestess and High Priest. As members develop, they are encouraged to both lead and teach (under supervision), and may go on to create "offshoot" covens in the future.
Discovering Witchcraft Course
"Discovering Witchcraft" is our bespoke annual course which has two purposes. For those seeking initiation and membership within Circle of the Moon, it forms the first year of training in our tradition. For those wishing to explore the Craft and/or build up their confidence as a Solitary Practitioner, it offers the knowledge and encouragement many newcomers to Witchcraft feel they need in order to progress along their own pathway.
To learn more about this course, please visit the Discovering Witchcraft course information page.
Due to the tutors taking a sabbatical, there is currently no session of "Discovering Witchcraft" in progress and, due to continued development of this course, there will be no 2008 or 2009 session. If you would like to apply for "Discovering Witchcraft" in the future, please watch this space for further details regarding our newly restructured course offerings, applications information and course dates. These should be announced late 2009 at the earliest.
